Electricity (power) supplied to FOREM. In 1999 significant progress was achieved on the Federal Wholesale Market in Electrical Energy (Power). The volume of electrical energy (power) supplied in 1999 increased by 7.6 per cent as compared with 1998, amounting to 281,977 million kWh. The proportion of electricity supplied from FOREM, out of the total supply to the grids of the Unified Energy System, amounted to 38 per cent, as against 36 per cent in 1998. At an average supply tariff of 147.2 rubles/MWh, the total value of electricity bought on FOREM was equal to 49,326 mln rubles, or 110.6 per cent of the 1998 level. The average supply tariffs for electricity (power) of suppliers to FOREM increased by nine per cent from the 1998 level.
In 1999, the level of settlements made with suppliers of electrical energy (power) to FOREM was 98 per cent — representing an increase of nine per cent over 1998. The quality of settlements improved significantly, with liquid assets (money and bank paper) making up 17 per cent of the settlements during the reporting period, as opposed to only nine per cent in 1998.
Purchases of electrical energy (power) on FOREM. During the period under review, 269.3 billion kWh of electrical energy were supplied to FOREM’s customers at a total price of 49.3 billion rubles. Energy supplied to customers on the domestic market amounted to 256.1 billion kWh at an average tariff of 141.03 rubles/MWh, amounting to a total of 43.3 billion rubles. Losses made by the Russian domestic wholesale market in electrical energy (power) — as a result of an imbalance between the capabilities of Russian buyers and suppliers to FOREM — amounted to 3.2 billion rubles (8.3 per cent of the total value of purchases of energy bought on the Russian market). Exports of electrical energy made it possible to cover the discrepancy between the cost of deliveries and purchases on the Russian wholesale market. |
